About

What is the content of the training?

In the training, the situations in which the employer can, according to the Employment Contracts Act, terminate the employment of their employee on the basis of the employee's illness are thoroughly reviewed. During the training, the decisions of the Labor Court and the Supreme Court are extensively reviewed. The decisions are related to the termination of an employee's employment as a result of a substantial and permanent impairment of working capacity.

The training answers, among other things, the following questions:

  • Under what conditions can the employee's employment be terminated during the probationary period due to the employee's illness?
  • Should the employment relationship be dismissed or terminated for cause based on a prolonged illness?
  • What is the significance of the employer's awareness of the employee's illness?
  • What is a sufficient permanent illness?
  • How and to what extent should the employee's ability to work be determined before dismissal?
  • How should the employer's relocation obligation be considered in cases of illness?

What do you learn in the training?

After the training, you will know the conditions under which the employer can, in accordance with the Employment Contracts Act, terminate their employee's employment as a result of a substantial and permanent impairment of the employee's ability to work. You will learn what kinds of investigative steps the employer is usually required to take before the employee's employment can be terminated in accordance with the Employment Contracts Act on the basis of this illness.

Who is the training suitable for?

The training is designed for company managers, supervisors and HR experts, regardless of the person's role and the company's industry.

How can the training be organized and what does it cost?

You can order the training to be held at your company's location. The training can also be organized remotely as a Teams meeting or in a space organized by Folks.

The price of the training is agreed on a case-by-case basis with each customer, taking into account, among other things, the scope and duration of the training and the number of participants in the training. For example, a three-hour training in the capital region without restrictions on the number of participants is 1,300 euros (+ VAT 24%). The price of the training includes the electronic material distributed to the participants.
